"We exist to equip people to become everything that Christ created them to be." (ref. Eph. 2:10; 4:12-13)
We exist to equip people...
People matter to God. God's people makeup the church. Our church's vision, programs and ministries are not more important that our people, the true church. As a loving family we are called to recognize the uniqueness of each member in our church and their contribution to our Body, not simply be an impersonal, businesslike organization. Jesus so loved the world, that He gave His life for each individual-this includes you!
God loves us and He demonstrates that love by choosing to use us to build His Kingdom here on earth. In Ephesians 4, Paul tells us that the church-the collection of God's saints, purchased by Christ's shed blood at the cross - is to be a training ground; an equipping station, turning lost people to God, and discipling them to transform the world with the love found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
...to become everything that Christ created them to be.
Ephesians 2 resonates with the sounds of hope that come only from an authentic relationship with God. In short, it tells us that you and I have been created in Christ, and have been prepared to do great works which God has prepared in advance for us to do (Eph. 2:10). How thrilling! How limitless! While our church exists to equip you and our church exists to serve you, the church will, at times, fail you, because it is filled with imperfect people. However, Jesus never fails! As the perfect, matchless Creator, He alone is the One we will consistently point you to, because He knows the supernatural "everything" that He has made you, and is shaping you to be and to do!
